An ear cuff holds on without a piercing. It grips gently on the edge of the ear or on the cartilage, so you can wear it where you have no piercing and move it whenever you like.
How to wear them
You open a clip-on model with your fingers and set it on the rim of the ear. It should hold firmly but not press. If it hurts after an hour, bend it open a touch. Cuffs on a post need one piercing and imitate a second, higher on the ear.

What to watch for
Do not clamp tighter than needed, since too much pressure irritates the cartilage. Take them off at night. The plating wears faster where it meets the ear than elsewhere, so handle it gently.
