A round pearl looks formal and belongs at a wedding or a dinner. A baroque pearl is irregular, no two the same shape, and reads more relaxed. The second kind sells better for us every season.

Caring for pearls

A pearl is soft and does not tolerate cosmetics. Put the jewellery on last, after make-up and perfume, and take it off first. Store it separately, since harder stones scratch the surface easily. Never clean pearls with ultrasound.

What they go with

A pearl in a gold-plated setting looks warmer and layers well with gold pieces. In platinum plating it turns cooler and more minimal.
