The cool tone of platinum suits simple, geometric shapes. Zirconia looks whiter in this setting than in gold, because there is no contrast with a warm metal.

Wear on the finger
A ring works harder than any other piece: it rubs against a keyboard, a bag, the next finger. Platinum plating stands up to that better than gold plating, but even so it wears thin first on the underside of the shank. If you wear a ring daily and keep it on for housework, expect it to need refinishing after some years.
Care
Take it off before cleaning and before the pool. Wipe with a dry soft cloth, never with an abrasive paste.
